Internal sales and account executive
Location: Central Nottingham
Reports to: Sales Manager.
Role:
We are looking for a strongly motivated, personable sales executive to join our sales team. The role involves upselling additional products to our existing reseller customer base, and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their accounts. This is a new role, so there is a great opportunity to both grow this area of the business and influence the way in which we interact with our customers. You will report to our sales manager.
Background:
Heart Internet are the leading provider of Reseller webhosting in the UK, having have won numerous awards for business and customer service excellence. We operate in a relaxed, social environment, without a dress code policy. Our kitchen is fully stocked with free snacks and drinks, and we provide unlimited free webhosting for all our staff.
Key responsibilities
- Contacting existing customers via telephone and email to secure orders and upgrades, and build customer relationships.
- Ensuring that resellers are leveraging all available products.
- Developing full internal sales process.
- Analysing customer accounts to find and capitalise on sales opportunities.
- Liaising with our customer service team to ensure that products meet customer requirements.
- Gathering feedback from customers to discover new product opportunities.
What we want from you
As a successful applicant you will have experience in customer services or telesales, and have a willingness to engage with and understand our customers. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work on your own and take responsibility when required.
Strong IT skills are a must, and a background in webhosting is advantageous. You will have good grades at GCSE and A-level; a degree helps, but is not essential.

What we need from you:
• Advanced administration of Linux (mainly RHEL).
• Advanced knowledge of Apache.
• Good understanding of Exim & BIND.
• Command line MySQL skills.
• Experience of shell scripting and Perl.
• Good Unix skills like Awk, VIM, Sed, SSH, IP tables.

Continued growth means we are expanding our web design team. We are now looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic junior web designer, with a strong eye for detail.
What we need from you:
• Be highly proficient in coding standards compliant websites in XHTML/CSS.
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign)
• An understanding of JavaScript and popular JS libraries such as jQuery.
• Understanding of web usability and information architecture, knowledge of wireframes and mock-ups (UI & IA Design) would be beneficial.
• Experience in creating promotion material e.g. web banners, newsletters etc would be beneficial.
• You should have a natural flair for creative design as well as knowledge of web design and design tools.
